North Saskatchewan River near Edmonton

We spotted a number of eagles with nests in the tallest trees or along the cliffs. Select the photo below to see! At a couple of spots we ALMOST had rapids as the water swirled around bends or islands in the river. The funniest thing was Bev & Phil trying to land the canoe on one of the islands but getting caught up in the fast flowing water and almost going airborne in their canoe as they hit the point of the island. Lunch got wet but the camera and oars were saved and no major injury!
