Cruise Skagway to Sitka- Alaska

Looking across Sitka Sound you see Mt Edgecomb, a dominant feature around Sitka. It is a dormant volcano situated on Kruzof Island. Russia sold Alaska to USA in 1867 and at that time Sitka was the capital of Alaska. It wasn't until 1906 that the capital was moved to Juneau.
