Cruise Skagway to Sitka- Alaska

All of these towns we visit on the cruise are totally reliant on the tourist dollar. We wandered around the shops in Sitka and passed this Russian Church. St Michael's Cathedral was built in 1848. It is thought that people migrated to this area during the ice age. There were Kiks.adi clan houses here in 1796 when the first Russians sailed into Sitka Sound.
