Nanaimo to Telegraph Cove - Vancouver Island

Another quick detour off the main road to check out Sproat Lake - just beautiful. Where are all the people??? IN Australia this would be covered by boats, jet skis, wind surfers, swimmers, picnickers... we were the only people there! According to the brochures "With over 200 miles of forested lakeshore, and fresh water so clean and clear you can see thirty feet down, Sproat Lake is a popular vacation destination on Vancouver Island". Guess the summer holidays must not have started yet.
