You can see some of the damage caused by the recent heavy rains eg a palm down with elkhorn still intact! The big wet also brought out all the leeches and standing still for any length of time was not a good idea. During this walk, we spent a lot of time flicking leeches off our shoes before they could grab a hold on a piece of exposed skin. Leeches are NOT my favorite creature!
