UK and Europe Roadtrip - Over Alp/Oberalp Pass

Here comes the Glacier Express! We walked to the nearby memorial which marked the crossing of the Alps in 1799 when the French were at war with the Russians. The path across this Gotthard Pass leads through the dangerous Schöllenen Gorge with steep walls and this wild river. The Suworow Monument commemorates those that died in this conflict.
