UK and Europe Roadtrip - Persenbeug

Next stop was Persenbeug-Gottsdorf, a town in the district of Melk. The Castle of Persenbeug (left) has been around since 970 and has changed hands many times over the centuries. In the 1500s it was sold and expanded to its present form. The Persenbeug-Ybbs power station (right) was built in the 1950s with a spillway dam and adjacent lock as part of the international Danube waterway.
