Brussels' Basilica of the Sacred Heart is massive, 89m tall and 167m long. It was completed in 1971 in the Art Deco style but building started much earlier. King Leopold II laid down the first stone in 1905 to commemorate the 75th anniversary of Belgian independence. Select the photo below to see the stained glass windows and up into the blue dome.
