UK and Europe Roadtrip - Brussels

The Royal Palace in Brussels has a rather unusual green ceiling in the main hall (right). It is made from over a million Jewel Beetles individually glued on. It took four months to complete in 2002. It is the work of the controversial artist artist Jan Fabre, who liked the beetle's unique shine and deep green hue. Select the photo to see more of the modern artwork on display.
