UK and Europe Roadtrip - Brussels

Also bordering the square at the Grand Place is the ornately decorated Maison du Roi (Kings House) or Broodhuis (Breadhouse). This neo-Gothic building dates back to the end of the 1800s but its predecessor was owned by Charles V, the king of Spain. Prior to that the bread market resided here, hence the names. It currently houses the Brussels City Museum.
