Hornibrook Bike Ride - Redcliffe

We rode along Hornibrook Esplanade past Pelican Park where they hold kite flying days every 2nd and 4th Sunday of the month. We then continued up to Woody Point which is where Lt Matthew Flinders landed on 17 July 1799 while exploring Moreton Bay. He named the area 'Red Cliff Point' which eventually became 'Redcliffe' in official records from 1878.
