UK and Europe Roadtrip - Rila Mountains

Once we hit bitumen again the drive was lovely so glad we didn't turn back. We could see crosses on the tops of various highpoints which indicated small monasteries or even caves where hermit monks once lived. Select the photo below to see the first cloister and church we stopped at near Rila.
