Port Augusta to Clare & Burra

The road in from Wilmington to the start of the Alligator Gorge walk is quite steep and not suitable for caravans. You can book to stay in nearby Alligator Lodge which was the original ranger's house or there is walk-in tent camping. There is a campgrounds with full facilities however, that is accessed from the western side of Mt Remarkable National Park.
