Darwin, Northern Territory

There are many sites to visit around Darwin of historical significance related to the War. One place we found interesting was the underground Storage Tunnels they built for storing oil for the Navy during the war. The amazing thing is that the war ended before they could be commissioned. They were never used except for now as a tourist venue. You can walk through the length of them and also view historical photos of the war years that are displayed along the tunnel walls.
