Fiji Holiday - Treasure Island

In the centre of the island is the church, guest laundry, kids playground and animal enclosure where you can see iguana and some of the turtle hatchings they have saved from the beaches of the 3 islands. The turtles lay their eggs and bury them as they always have but they are now in danger due to the increased tourism so are dug up before they hatch and raised to a point where they can re-released safely. A similar thing is done at MonRepos in Bundaberg, Queensland. (see photos of our trip to Bundaberg)
