Flinders Ranges National Park

Aboriginal Paintings occur in caves, shelters and overhangs in the southern parts of the Yappala Hills. This is Yourambulla Caves. Yourambulla refers to these 2 peaks that repesent 2 ancestral companions who camped at this place while travelling in the Dreamtime. This story explains the matrilineal kinship system. The area is an important part of the Adnyamathanha people's culture and heritage.
