Fraser Island, Queensland

There is an annual migration of humpback whales from Antarctica to the warmer waters off Queensland. After calving in the warm waters of the Great Barrier Reef, many pods of whales return to Platypus Bay around September to relax and play before they head back to Antarctic. Often it sems thay are keeping themselves amused by entertaining the whale watching charters.
