UK and Europe Roadtrip - HeidelbergThey call it the Heidelberg Tun. It was built in 1751 and is 7m high and 8.5m wide holding over 220000 litres! The Prince Electors must have hosted some amazing parties in the Kings Hall next door. The wine museum tells the story of other giant barrels, prior to this one, that were destroyed during periods of turmoil.
