UK and Europe Roadtrip - Bad Waldsee

A castle existed in this area in the 1300s and probably part of Austria at that time but it was partially destroyed during various uprisings. Georg 111 of Waldburg was born and died in Castle Waldsee, 1488 - 1531. The building we see here now, resembles the one originally built in the mid 1500s, surrounded by a moat. It underwent major renovations in the 1700s and is still in use today so can only be viewed from the outside. Select the photo below to see more.
