It is such a rocky landscape that not many trees grow here. Olives seem to be OK though. There are rocky parallel terraces (bottom photo) that wind around the ridges on the Mani Peninsula. Is this to help goats graze? to plant olive trees? no idea! Select the photo below to see more.
