Kangaroo Island, South Australia

From the car park there are about 550 steps up to this lookout on Prospect Hill. We know because Pete counted them! It sits above a very narrow strip of land joining Dudley Peninsula to the rest of Kangaroo Island. It was climbed by Captain Matthew Flinders and used to survey the Island in the very early 1800s. It has views of Pelican Lagoon, Pennington Bay and the Southern Ocean.
