Karijini National Park , Hamersley Ranges

From the Knox Lookout you can look to the left up Wittenoom Gorge from the place where it meets the Knox Gorge. Blue Asbestos was mined in Wittenoom in the 1930s . It occurs in thin veins in the iron formations. Mining ceased in the 1960s. Asbestos dust causes cancer so you shouldn't disturb the rock.
