Nitmiluk - Katherine Gorge National Park

One of walks you can go on at Katherine Gorge National Park is to a lookout above the Katherine River. It is good to get some perspective of where you are to start with. This is the part of the river where the salt water croc was sighted. They need to trap and remove any that have come into the area during the wet season. Once they have gone through that process (takes 5 weeks) they can then open the area to swimming, canoeing etc. They won't come back as this is not their usual habitat.
