UK and Europe Roadtrip - Salzburg

Inside the church is stunning. St Peters Abbey was raised to ArchAbbey status in 1927. It houses the oldest library in Austria with archives containing documents that date back to when the monastery was first built. One of the organs was placed on top of the rood screen in 1444 while the onion dome on the steeple was built in 1756. Select the photo below to see the ceiling.
