Litchfield National Park, Northern Territory

The National Park covers 1500 sq km and has a variety of typical NT habitats. It is hard to get an idea from a photo what these termite mounds look like. They are about a metre wide and up to 2 metres tall BUT only about 30cm thick and they all line up the same way. They should be called termite slabs not mounds! You can see a whole field of them here off into the distance.
