Melbourne to Brisbane Roadtrip

Our next stop was Disaster Bay lookout. You get an impressive view of the unspoilt coastline of the NSW Far South Coast region. It is aptly named Disaster Bay due to the number of shipwrecks that have occurred prior to the lighthouse being built. You can see the Wonboyn River entering the middle of the bay against the small headland called Bay Cliff. Wonboyn Lake is inland from that. NSW have put up their camping fees so much that it almost makes it a better proposition to stay at the caravan park at that lake. Something to consider for next time!
