Brisbane to Melbourne Roadtrip

The trail follows McFarlane’s Water Race which he constructed on the south wall of the Werribee Gorge in 1906 to irrigate his crops. A second concrete water channel was constructed in the same area by the State Rivers and Water Supply Commission between 1926 and 1929 to supply water to Bacchus Marsh.
