Tom Price Mine

The Pilbara Iron company built the town of Tom Price in 1966 and now over 700 mining families live there. It is apparently the highest town in WA at 747m above sea level. The tour of the mining operations was definitely worthwhile doing. The size of the open cut pits are amazing - this is only one end of it!
