Hawkes Bay to Rotorua, New Zealand

The town of Opotiki is on the Pacific Ocean at the Bay of Plenty but also has a harbour inlet formed by the junction of the Waioeka River and the Otara River. There is an active volcano called White Island only 48 km off shore... interesting! We stopped at the rest area and there was some pretty interesting artwork there all made from driftwood.
