Hawkes Bay to Rotorua, New Zealand

The white rock is a mixture of silica, pumice and clays. The yellow is sulphur. Near the bridge there is a small pool with hot black water which is about 80C - all the pools vary in temperature from 70C to 110C and range in depth from 5m to 15m. Select the photo below to see more of this area.
