Dunedin to Catlins to Bluff

We drove through Invercargill, the commercial centre of the Southland region. Apparently it is known as the cloudiest and second windiest city of New Zealand and we can say that we have experienced that first hand!  We continued onto Bluff as we were very keen to try some of their oysters and we were NOT disappointed - YUM! Bluff is the southern-most town in New Zealand so is often referred to in the phrase "from Cape Reinga to The Bluff" to indicate travelling from one end of NZ to the other. By the time we finished this holiday we wanted to say that we had been from Cape Reinga to The Bluff. This is the view from the lookout east towards the Tiwai Point aluminium smelter and the Port of Bluff.
