Queenstown to Haast Pass, New Zealand

Next stop as we headed to the west coast of New Zealand's South Island was Thunder Creek Falls only 5 minutes walk from the car park. Rain and melt waters feed the Haast River driving the various waterfalls and rapids along its course. Thunder Creek Falls is a single cascade drop of about 28m and after rain it really earns its name as it thunders down in to the plunge pool below and joins the Haast River.
