Punakaiki to GoldenBay, South Island, New Zealand

The Pancake Rocks at Dolomite point, Punakaiki are an incredible sight. It is a heavily eroded limestone area with alternating hard and soft layers of limestone that erodes at different rates. If you are there at high tide you get the full force of the blowholes as the sea surges though the vertical caverns and cracks. Select the photo below to see more of this area.
