Punakaiki to GoldenBay, South Island, New Zealand

We stopped next at Charleston (an old gold mining town) and parked at the rest area at Joyce Bay. This area is known for its limestone caves and rock climbing. We are told you can often spot a rare hector dolphin or a fur seal but we saw neither today. The loop track is a 15 minutes walk around and over various coastal rock formations to views of Constant Bay.
