Farewell Spit to Foxton Beach, New Zealand

The other area we were keen to visit before leaving the Golden Bay area was Te Waikoropupu Springs, commonly known as Pupu Springs. It is a Maori sacred place so you cannot swim here as inviting as it may look. Pupu Springs is about 4km drive from Takaka and the short walk takes you right to the source of the springs. In fact, you can see the clear water bubbling up from the creek bed in a number of areas.  Select the photo below to see more bubbling springs.
