Wanganui to Lake Taupo, New Zealand

The 1.5 hour Wilkies Pool Walk sounded interesting so we headed off down the track (the only crazy people walking in the light drizzle!)  The path takes you through what is called the Goblin Forest.  Select the photo to see the hanging mosses, liverworts and ferns amongst the kamahi trees whose branches have grown through and around existing trees. It all creates this strange but interesting forest.
