Wanganui to Lake Taupo, New Zealand

We stopped at the Tokaanu Thermal area which is free to wander through - amazing! There are also public and private pools set up nearby which charge a small entry fee if you want to bathe there. This area is part of the active Taupo volcanic zone and occasionally Mt Ruapehu erupts just to make sure you don't forget that!  Select the photo below to see more of this area.
