Wanganui to Lake Taupo, New Zealand

We stopped near the end of the track to see what a group of people (Maori) were doing and it seems they STILL use this area for cooking. They put their food in these 'ovens', cover them over and come back later or else spend some time relaxing in the hot spring baths while they wait. Great idea!
