Eyre Highway, Nullabor

Looking back across Cocklebiddy Cave entrance towards the car you can see how the Nullabor got its name - 'nullus arbor' which is latin for 'no tree'. The Nullabor Plain is the world's biggest limestone slab forming the dry 250000 sq km plain. It receives very little rain but what does fall dissolves the rock to form caves such as this.
