Perth to Yallingup

We followed the Chittering Valley wine trail, a lovely drive just an hour to the north of Perth then headed to Toodyay intending to stay at Avon Valley National Park. Unfortunately, by the time we visited a few wineries it was after 4:30pm and the park gates are closed then. Instead we stayed at the Noble Falls rest area, camping right next to a very picturesque creek. We awoke to the sound of ducks and the mist rising over the cascading water. We just missed the Avon Descent (canoe/kayak race down the Avon River to Swan River) that was on the next weekend.
