Charters Towers

Cyclone Larry and the flooding that followed it left a lot of damage and many roads in North Queensland covered by water - some cut off completely. It had dropped enough for us to cut through from Ayr to the Flinders Highway and then through to Charters Towers. We photographed some of the historical buildings as we walked through Charters Towers - City Hall, Royal Private Hotel, Stock Exchange and a mural.
