They say that Vlad Tepes (Vlad the Impaler) was held prisoner here for 7 years by Ioan of Hunedoara. Vlad was the inspiration for the 1897 novel Dracula so Bram Stoker imagined Hunedoara's Castle when he wrote about Castle Dracula. Select the photo below to see more.
