UK and Europe Roadtrip - Bratislava

Bratislava Castle is a large white rectangular building with four corner towers built on the high ground directly above the Danube river. In the 1000s a stone palace and the church of St Saviour were built on this castle hill. The fortress has been renovated and additions made over the centuries. Today it houses the Slovak National Museum with artifacts and history from the Middle Ages up to the present. Select the photo below to see more of the castle grounds.
