UK and Europe Roadtrip - Visegrad

The Gate Tower and Keep of Visegrad were built in the 1200s. Once Visegrad became a royal seat in 1323, its Upper and Lower Castles hosted meetings between Czech, Polish and Hungarian rulers. The Upper castle (this one) was where the Holy Crown and other Royal Insignia were kept until 1529. Select the photo below to see more of the Visegrad Castle ruins.
