Stradbroke Island - Amity Point Holiday

Deadman's beach is also not accessible by 4WD. There are rock pools at either end of the beach to explore and the rocks are a popular place for fishermen. It is said that a 133 ton ship was wrecked near here in 1902. The Prosperity was travelling from Sydney carrying a cargo of sugar machinery for Mourilyon Harbour in North Queensland. Pieces of rusted machinery can still be seen wedged in the crevices of South Rock.
