UK and Europe Roadtrip - Gelibolu

The Gelibolu Lighthouse, still operational, overlooks the Sea of Marmara which connects the Black Sea to the Aegean Sea. This is a very important Turkish waterway. It was built by the French during the Crimean War (1850s) on top of a 50m cliff and is 25m high. Select the photo below to see the view towards Hamzakoy Beach.
