Foça Beşkapılar Castle, also known as Five Gates, was originally built in the 1100s. The Ottomans repaired the walls and added towers in the 1450s and 1530s. The stone wall built around the ancient city of Phocaea dates back to 590 BC so this is a relatively new construction! Select the photo below to see more.
