Kuşadası is a popular tourist town situated on the Aegean Sea. As we drove around the headland we couldn't miss seeing the Byzantine fortress built on Pigeon Island at the end of the causeway. A structure existed here earlier, but the castle in its present form, was built in the 1500s. Select the photo below to see more.
