UK and Europe Roadtrip - Ephesus

Around 290BC a 9km stone wall was built around the entire city to strengthen their fortifications. The Theatre and Stadium were built in the lower area near the harbour while the political centre was built in the upper parts of the city. The walls enclosed 2.5km². Select the photo below to see more.
