UK Roadtrip - Castle Rising

Next morning we travelled through wheat country into a vegetable growing region. We stopped at the village of Castle Rising best known for these castle ruins of the same name. It was built in the 1100s and remembered for the story of Queen Isabella, widow of Edward II, who was exiled there by her son, Edward III. Isabella died at Castle Rising in 1358.
